Jewels

introduction to jewels

Utility Abound

Jewels are a cornerstone asset in the Earth2 metaverse.

They were initially used by players to boost Ether detection on land, and with each major release, they have gained further utility within the game.

With 3 tiers available and many different varieties (some only possible through crafting), jewels are something you will want to learn about if you are serious about succeeding within the Earth2 metaverse!

Collecting Jewels

Jewels spawn on player owned land periodically. Tier 1 land spawns more jewels that other tiers of land.

Most Earth2 players collect their jewels daily. You can do this by clicking on the Resources Tab. You will also see a notification in your Earth2 inbox when you have jewels that are ready to collect.

Jewels that span on your Earth2 land are tier 1 jewels.

Trading Jewels

Jewels can also be brought and sold on the Earth2 Bazaar, which can be accessed from the main game menu.

This is a convenient way to pick up the specific jewel you need, or to generate some E$ for other purposes.

Virtually every variety and tier of jewel is available, with Luminous and Brilliant jewels commanding the highest prices in the Bazaar.

Crafting Jewels

Earth2 players can craft higher tier jewels (Tier 2 and Tier 3) using the Crafting Menu. This involves combining/burning two or more jewels to create a new jewel. Most Earth2 crafting 'recipes' require a minimum of three jewels.  For example x3 tier 1 blue Jewels can be crafted to make x1 tier 2 blue jewel.

Jewels can also be improved by crafting, although this requires shards (which are created by crafting or shattering jewels) and Essence.  Levels of jewel are as follows:

Tier 2 and tier 3 jewels have additional benefits over tier 1 Jewels when slotted. This benefit increases with level, i.e. Brilliant jewels are more beneficial than Cracked jewels.

Slotting Jewels

Jewels that you have collected, acquired or crafted (see below), can be 'slotted' onto any virtual land you own. the number of 'slots' available for jewels depends on the land size and Tier.

Slotting jewels onto land increases Ether Detection rates (NB. Ether is required to create Essence, the in-game Earth2 currency).

Slotted jewels may also have additional benefits in the future, for example, increased Resource production rates.
